Job Title: ALPR Technical Engineer

Duration: 12 months

Location: Onsite in Fort Worth, TX

(Training at 4150 International Plaza, Suite 800, Fort Worth, TX 76109)

 

Pay- $34/hr on w2

Work Schedule:
Training: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (first week)
Regular Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Position Overview:
As an ALPR Technical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in providing exceptional customer service to support clients’ software and hardware needs, including laptops, servers, and License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera systems. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, troubleshooting, installing, and managing technical issues while maintaining a high level of professionalism and documentation. This metrics-based role emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and a strong customer focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote installation, troubleshooting, and support for ALPR software and hardware systems, including laptops, servers, and IP cameras.
  • Deliver prompt and courteous technical support via phone and email, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Track and document issues, resolutions, and interactions in the ticketing system.
  • Test and adjust systems as needed, ensuring full functionality and adherence to performance standards.
  • Offer training to customers on software, hardware, and installations to maximize system performance.
  • Handle technical support metrics, following set procedures and escalation protocols.
  • Provide on-call support as required, monitoring chat sessions to assist teammates as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2+ years in technical troubleshooting and/or customer service.
  • Networking experience of at least 2 years is preferred.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow, Google Suite, Bomgar, and Windows.
  • Ability to pass a CJIS Background Check (required in all 50 states) and U.S. citizenship.
  • Experience in a public safety environment or related technical field is highly desirable.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong multitasking abilities and excellent time management skills.
  • Familiarity with networking tools, IP camera configuration, cellular networks, POE (Power Over Ethernet), and Linux.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capable of following established department procedures and meeting metrics as a Level II Technician.

Additional Information:

  • Assignment Duration: 6 months (Temp-to-Hire potential)
  • Security Clearance: CJIS background check required
  • Environment: Office-based, no travel or driving required.

Interview Process:
Google Meet video interview with camera on, 30-minute duration.
