Job Overview

As a Software Test Engineer, you will contribute to the development of distributed software applications for automated test systems, ensuring quality and compliance. This role requires expertise in National Instruments LabVIEW, TestStand, and other software development tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test systems on National Instruments-based platforms for new product introductions.
• Debug and enhance test software and firmware for production and service testers.
• Identify hardware needs and design product interface fixtures to meet test requirements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance through rigorous qualification and validation processes.
• Create modular, reusable software for interaction with microcontrollers and databases.
• Perform PCBA and electronic system testing with a thorough understanding of schematics.
• Document specifications, manage change processes, and validate testers and software.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in NI LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and PyQt for test software development.
• Experience with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, USB, UART, RS232/RS485).
• Hands-on experience with DMMs, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of medical device regulations (ISO13485, CFR820, IEC 60601-X).
• Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
