Title: Performance Analyst

Duration: 03 months (Temp-Hire)

Location: Phoenix, AZ 

 

Pay- $20-26/hr on w2

 

Position Description: Performance
Analysts provide process, performance, and data analysis to Valley Metro
Transit Asset Management (TAM) division to enable them to better connect
communities and enhance lives. They do so as a member of the Operation and
Maintenance Division –participating in project teams and facilitating the
development of key performance indicators, reports, and data visualizations.

 

Skills Required: 

1. Communication,
collaboration, and facilitation of cross-functional teams with varying levels
of technical ability

2. Analysis and statistics
with the ability to apply them to operational issues

3. Spatial analysis including
use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

4. Preparing concise,
informative, and engaging presentations and reports for audiences of a variety
of levels of technical acumen

5. Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

6. Root cause analysis and
counter-measure development

7. Planning, organization, and
time-management

8. Problem-solving and
critical thinking

9. Communicating to interact
with coworkers, supervisor, and the general public at a level sufficient to
exchange or convey information and to receive work direction

 

Skills Preferred: 

1. Advanced reporting and
analysis and dashboard development using Tableau, Power BI, and/or SQL
desirable

2. Asset Mgmt., FASTER Asset
Solutions, SQL Database, or other transit software

3. Statistics, economics,
geography, and or other mathematical analysis

 

Experience Required: Two
(2) years of experience as a performance analyst or in a related role, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully
perform the essential duties listed.

 

Experience Preferred:

Education Required: Bachelor’s
Degree in Business, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Analytics, Geography,
Planning, Economics, or a closely related field,

 

Education Preferred: Transportation
Maintenance Management, Data management
